So today I had to get up at 11 for Humanities class at 12 and we learned about Berlini and Caravaggio who are artists that we'll be featuring in Rome in a few days. Then we had chapel about welcoming Satan's trials because that means we wear the title Christian and he's coming at our faith because it's a threat to him. It was really cool. Then we had lunch which was spaghetti :) and then free time til 7 when the bus came to take us to Robbie and Mona's house for our own special 4th of July party. We had brisket and red, white, and blue gelato and my first watermelon of the season! It was pretty awesome. Then we got to look through photo albums of their wedding and family and previous HUF groups. The whole time they had patriotic music playing in the background. Then we sang the whole bus ride back to the villa - when we were singing "I've got friends in low places" the Italian bus driver recognized it and turned on the lights and was laughing at our performance :D. Now I'm trying to iron out all the details of 2nd free travel and get all that nailed down with the people that are coming with so that's a bit stressful bc places to stay are difficult to find when you want someplace that's not sketch, in a good part of town, and is a legit price. It will all work out though :)
Stars and stripes tonight!!!
Love you everyone!
