Last day of free travel = train extravaganza
Ok so yesterday was the last day of free travel. We got up and left our hostel at 4 am to make it to the train station and get on our 1st train which left at 5. So then everything was going good until Munich, Germany where our train kept stopping in the middle of nowhere for no reason at all and so we were late arriving so we missed our other train, even though we were running with our packs on through the mobs of people...we wish we had a video of how ridiculous it was! So we missed our connecting train and had to remap our plan to get back to Florence, but the good news was that the Munich station is actually pretty legit and had lots of food options and a Starbucks! We got on the same path we were on, but just about an hour later. So we ended up getting back at 9:45 pm and then back to the villa around 11ish. So the only hiccup in our train plan was that the German trains didn't like us and then later they said we had to reserve a spot on this train, so we had to pay 18 euro :( They must have switched which train actually came to pick us up but it's all good. Then we finally got back to the villa and had to walk back from the tram to the villa bc the bus wasn't running...blah. So then we got back and had a snack and took warm showers for the first time in about 4 days lol and then crashed. We don't have anything til 1 pm the next day which is lunch. Then afternoon classes - Bible, Italian (homework due and apparently an open book test blah...), then Humanities stuff for Rome, and Library project then firework display tonight - it's a big holiday St. Giovanni I think.
