Traveling back to the villa & Rain fiasco

Since I've been asked more about yesterday, no I did not go to the island of Capri, but I don't regret it. It was essentially the same as what we've seen thus far, from what I heard from those that went, so I'm happy with my recuperation day plan.

Wednesday was pretty crazy to say the least. There was a forecast of rain, which I was not aware of, but that's ok. On the itinerary we were supposed to take a bus to the Almafi coast (which is beautiful), then take a boat ride to better appreciate the coast, and then ride the bus again. Then we were supposed to get on the Eurostar train in Naples and take it through Rome to Florence and from there it's normal get back to the villa :).

It was a fiasco because the coast drive is ridiculous. Super curvy, beautiful, but scary. And we were on it in a downpour and on this huge bus. I think I would have been freaked out even before my car wreck in scary rain, but now it's just bad. Eventually I'll get back to enjoying thunderstorms again...I'm determined lol. Then we walked down to the coast, 596 steps...yep my recuperation day plan died. The villa dr's coming to check out my knee though so it'll all work out. Then it started raining and we had to abandon the little cute shops and hide in a restaurant awning and then cram on this little boat to get to where our bus was. So we were out in the ocean while it was crazy stormy and scary and people had to get bags and take meds bc they were getting sick. Luckily no one puked though. We made it back and it was really great to be back at the villa. Surprisingly it does feel like a home away from home.
