So once again - sorry guys! Monday was a good day. It started verrrrry early for my IES class. We had to leave the villa at 5:45 am to go down to Scandicci and Florence and see who was up super early and what they were doing, because it's a very different experience than later on at a normal time lol. Surprisingly I managed to be awake. We saw a milkman, breadman, and cheeseman all making deliveries. We also saw parents taking a student to school, yes their schools here are a lot more legit in some ways than back home. We went to a couple coffee shops and got pastries and drinks. I got coke...boring I know. I just can't do coffee. (Sorry daddy :'( )Then we went back to the villa just in time for IES class at 8 then a Bible test at 9. Then I had about an hour break so I crashed for a bit. Then I had an Italian quiz, that I knew most of bc I actually studied it this time lol. Then we had a drawing/painting class with Mike, a former animation dude for Disney - he did Pegasus in Hercules and John Smith in Pocahontas and tons of other cool stuff. I was supposed to have an actual drawing class that afternoon with him in a piazza in Florence, but the weather wasn't right for drawing outside, so that's postponed for right now. Then I got my emergency/semi-cheapish phone that I can use in Italy to call home or other people in Italy if I needed to. It was free and I only pay for what I use so that's cool. The lady knows Harding so we get a special deal.
Then we had an amazing lunch and then I read some and then worked with my group on free travel plans and we have it basically worked out: Day 1 = get to Salzburg, Austria. Day 2 = go on a bike tour of Sound of Music and travel to Prague. Then for the next 3 days check out all the awesome stuff in Prague, Czech Republic. There's a communism museum and castles and jewish quarters and all kinds of legit stuff! I'm super excited. Then we just take a super long train back to Florence :)
Then it was time for dinner (which once again = amazing) and then I had a little time before volleyball class. It was pretty fun tonight. I haven't lost all of it yet! LOL. I actually can still serve and hit pretty well. I can definitely still pass, but that's my bread and butter ;) I kinda forget that my knee's bad when I'm playing so Coach Burks has to remind me to take it easy...whoops. Luckily we're playing outside on a cement court so I'm not diving at all which would totally screw up my knees. Then I did my cleaning work, packed for Casentino, and talked to a few people before crashing for bed.
