Italian Potluck

Today we went to church in Florence again and it was a very good service about the Holy Spirit and how it has worked before and how it comforts us today and is always with us. The man who spoke lost his mom a few days ago :(. I met this very precious man who is physically disabled, but very sweet. There was also a druggie/drunk who came up and was talking to us while we were waiting outside for the potluck to be ready for us. I took him inside to Robbie who could tell him more about the church, which is what he was asking about. The lunch was delicious! We had pasta and chicken and Italian cornbread and green beans and desserts. We turned the auditorium space into the dining room area and then back again after we were done. Since I helped I got a ride back to the villa :D! Then it was time for Bible class, where we explained the current dating scene to our professor and then we reviewed for a test tomorrow. Then I had a break and then devo and dinner - pizza and ice cream! I took 1/2 a dose of my knee med tonight with dinner in some fanta, so it didn't taste as awful, so I'll probably knock out pretty soon lol. Then after that we had a little break until the concert of the Beatles cover band (which is Robbie and Mona's son and his friends). They could harmonize pretty well and play instruments well. I'm just too much of a Beatles fan - I can be critical of the Across the Universe movie which is brilliant, so I skyped and listened from upstairs while I studied for the Bible test and Italian quiz I have tomorrow. I also have a paper to read and need to be well rested bc I have to go people-watching at 5:45 in the morning for IES...Kyle will be the death of me :(

I love Hey Jude!!! But they def butchered it by putting it in a medley and starting it too high and then skipping around. Sad day, but that's what the originals on ipods are for, right? Lol...love it.

K I'm gonna go get cleaned up and study some before I crash (hopefully)

Love you all and hope everyone is having a great summer so far!

  1. You-- a harsh critic? Pshaw! Seriously, I had to stop imediately and turn on "Hey Jude" -- and I'm still singing it.

I guess you know that all your culture came from your old dad, right? Just think: The Beatles, Greek Mythology,The Sound of Music...and watermelon seed spitting.
